Diane Schwarz, since moving to Boise in 2006, has been active in the non-profit community. She has a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and Minors in Economics and Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She earned her C.P.A. and worked in auditing and finance management in the Oil & Gas Industry. She then worked in implementation and project management for a software development company in Denver, Colorado. She moved overseas for 8 years, establishing offices in Sydney, Australia, and Singapore travelling from Taiwan to Pakistan. Since moving to Idaho she has served on the Boards of Idaho Voices for Children and The Cabin. She has volunteered at The Boise Public Library! Agency for
New Americans, Life’s Kitchen, soccer clubs, and in her children’s schools. In 2013 she co-founded Book it Forward! Idaho which has distributed over 725,000 new and gently used books to kids in Idaho and beyond. In 2019 she co-founded ArTPack which has distributed hundreds of art supply kits to programs in the Boise area. Along with Noreen Womack, she founded Idaho Children Are Primary in 2019 to make sure children’s issues remain front and center in the legislature. Diane enjoys reading, the arts, hiking, and her dogs. She is very proud of her three accomplished daughters and marvels at their adventures around the world.
