JOHN RUSCHE

After medical school at Washington University in St. Louis and Pediatrics residency at the University of Arizona, John practiced as a pediatrician in Lewiston, Idaho for 16 years.  He then worked as Senior VP and chief medical officer at Regence BlueShield of Idaho until 2006.  In 2005, Dr. Rusche was first elected to the Idaho House of Representatives and served 12 years, 8 as the Minority Leader in the House.    
Now retired, John keeps busy with numerous volunteer activities, including on the Idaho Health Quality Planning Commission, the Board of YourHealthIdaho (the Idaho health insurance exchange), and the Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation.  He has one daughter, Caitlin.
